7 months

    How has another month flown by? He is 7 months! He has grown so much in one month, well with motor skills, not so much physically. I can't believe that just 7 months ago, he was a tiny 8 lb baby that would just lay there looking up at me. Now he is a wiggling 19 lb baby crusing around the living room looking for trouble. His favorite thing is to look for a cord to chew on(Mommy and daddy are finding creative ways to hide/block all cords) and trying to quickly crawl to the dog dishes when the gate is left open to play in the dog food(luckily he hasn't gotten to play in it yet, but he tries). Oh he is going to be a trouble maker. I tell him No, and he looks at me, grins, and contemplates his next move. He understands No.
    He had his first Christmas, which I think he was way overwhelmed. He definitely was over it quickly. He only wanted to open a few presents, then was done. He got a ton of gifts from so many people. He will be a spoiled little boy! Some of his favorites was a little people airplane, a Fisher Price Disney Train with Dumbo, Lucky, and Simba, and his Crawl Around Car. He also gave precious gifts to mommy: allowing me to see him crawl for the first time, sit up on his own, and pull himself up. This all happened in about a week. His First Christmas

His 7th Month Leaps and Bounds:
* Crawling all over and rather fast
* Sits up unassisted
* Pulls himself up on furniture and toys(gotta watch him)
* Loves to smack toys on the tile to make noise
* says mamamama and dadadada
* Eats Avocado, banana, yams, squash, peas, applesauce, carrots, but mostly only likes things mixed with applesauce
* Plays with his toys and can transfer toys from one hand to the other
* Can sleep in his crib for naps. We are working on moving him to the crib at night, but not until I am strong enough to transfer him into the crib from my arms(I have a small fracture on my elbow).
* He can sit in a shopping cart and in a high chair.
* He likes to drop things from his high chair.
* He likes to rake the floor with his fingers and on things like the grate on our fake fireplace.
* He was in his first dramatized song- He played baby Jesus for the song " Mary, Did you Know?"
* He also likes to chase our cats and dogs(much to their dismay).
